They were patching up the last of the damn wall that seperated her from her own brother. All she could do was reach her hand into the hole that had yet to be covered by a brick, trying to carress her brother's face, though the concrete was too thick, only able to reach up to his chest.

'Fuck politics. Fuck economics! This isn't fair!' she yelled to herself in her mind, clenching away the tears that threatened to fall from her red eyes. "Bruder, ve'll find a way to be united again, I promise...! No matter vhat, remember zis is just a vall! Ve can never be really seperated, ever!" Maria called out with her German accent through the hole, that was starting to get patched up. She took her last glance at the blonde man's eyes, the tears now streaming down her face. "No no NO!!" she screamed out once she lost the sight of him.

Uselessly punching and kicking at the wall, filled with complete and utter rage. Then she froze at the gloved hand placed on her shoulder. "Let's go home, da?" the voice giggled in a seemingly-innocent manner.

How many years has it been since then? she wondered, her hands dug into the pocket of her jacket and her face burying into her scarf as she stared intently at the wall, hoping she would be able to miraculously be able to gain x-ray vision. How awesome that would be. But all she wanted was to see her beloved brother's face again, hear his voice, be in his embrace. Her long silver hair blew gracefully with the unforgiving wind as she continued to stare at the even more unforgiving Berlin Wall. "I promise." she assured, a sigh escape her lips. "West..."
